Figures in Canadian Bahá’í History
The Bahá’í Community of Canada has a rich history of memorable Canadians who have contributed greatly to Canadian society as well as to the early development of the Bahá’í community in Canada and around the world. Since the Maxwell family established the first Bahá’í community in Canada in the city of Montreal in 1902, a long line of distinguished individuals have served selflessly in promoting the ideals of unity and social advancement. Canadian Bahá’ís have designed some of the architectural landmarks of the Bahá’í world community and have contributed to the arts, the sciences and medicine, aviation and engineering, the life of aboriginal Canadians, and sustainable development. Below are some links to biographies of a selected group of these distinguished souls.
