Other Agencies
The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Canada has many agencies which assist it in addressing issues at the forefront of global concerns. Each of these agencies strive to apply Bahá’í concepts and principles within a context and understanding of the spiritual reality of human life.
The Sustainable Development Task Force, for instance, was established to promote an awareness of the relevance of Bahá’í principles to environmental concerns. It consults with governments, businesses, interfaith groups, and individuals on imparting methods of cultivating and sustaining the world’s natural resources.
The Canadian Bahá’í Development Agency and Canadian Bahá’í International Development Agency assess and support projects that are of economic and social benefit to communities within Canada and abroad respectively.
The Bahá’í Distribution Service is the distributor of Bahá’í literature in English within Canada. It offers an extensive selection of Bahá’í literature and Bahá’í-related products, including Writings by the Central Figures of the Faith as well as music CDs, calendars, documentary videos, and secondary literature.
